Multiple media outlets report that Ronde Barber is retiring from the NFL after 16 seasons as a standout defensive back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Barber told Fox Sports.com, "I've had a better run than I ever could've dreamed of having."

Barber's twin brother, Tiki, who played running back for the New York Giants, had a post on his Twitter account that read: "Congrats & happy for my twin, Ronde, who's hanging up the cleats!"

The 38-year-old Ronde Barber played cornerback for 15 seasons before moving to safety last year. He played his entire career with Tampa Bay, was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and is the franchise leader in interceptions with 47. He also scored eight touchdowns and had 28 sacks in 241 games.

I want to see him get into the HOF purely as a middle finger to Tiki.

He said he's probably going into broadcasting in a round about way today during his press conference.

Ronde's 92-yard INT against the Eagles in the Conference Championship game is what I remember most...

    Sorry Eagles fans...

Thanks for the memories Ronde. I will always remember meeting him at a golf course. The 92 yard pix six to shut down the Vet. He's a first ballot HOF. The stats back it up. The team will miss his leadership. The move to safety was a little late, but its whatever. Go Bucs!
