The Detroit Lions are very familiar with former Green Bay Packers safety Charles Woodson.

Of course, Woodson is very familiar with the Lions.

Woodson is currently a free agent, and seeing him in Honolulu Blue would be a dream come true for many Lions fans. It also is a possibility Woodson is not opposed to.

"Here's the thing about the Lions," Woodson said during said during the WTKA-AM (1050) "Mott Takeover" radiothon. "The Lions have players. They just haven't been able to put it together. Would I be open to playing (for them)? No question. But the dollars have to make sense, too.".

Woodson may have eight Pro Bowls on his résumé, but if he is looking to get paid like a premier free agent, he will make observations about the Lions from his couch in 2013.

Woodson would destroy everything he did in Green Bay if he does. Just ask Favre or Jennings. Not that Im worried about Woodson burning the Packers. He's old and done.

Clearly the other teams in the NFC North think that the only way to compete with the Packers is to sign their castoff players. Did these teams every think that maybe, just maybe the reason why the Packers arent resigning these players is because they just arent very good anymore?
Ive always been a Woodson fan. I used to wear a Woodson jersey every Sunday but he hasnt been the same player the last 2 years. He's been hurt almost constantly and has been a step or 2 slower.
Im sure, considering he's a Michigan guy, ending his career with the Lions probably sounds like a cool thing for Woodson. Im thinking it probably wont end well for him and if Woodson thinks that he is going to burn Rodgers and the Packers because they moved on from him, well, just ask Favre how that worked out for him.
