NFL commissioner Roger Goodell believes football can thrive in England, which is why he's considering expanding the overseas schedule. Goodell spoke on Tuesday at the Spring League Meetings and addressed the media's questions on the subject. "Much to the disappointment of my staff when they told me the two games in London were sold out, I said, ???Okay, what's next and what can we do to continue our progress, in the UK in particular and internationally in general?'" Goodell said. "There are multiple things that our committee is doing and they reported on that today. Potentially going to three games is one alternative." Currently, the NFL plays two games in London annually, but Goodell now believes that three games every season in Great Britain isn't out of the question.

From fans who live in Europe this is a great news, but some ppl like you two have different negative opinions which I believe you shouldn't have. At the end of the day is just a sport and I don't see how this will effect you.

The travel time, jet lag, and how it can possibly effect the teams for that game and the next one, are why I'm not a fan of it.

It's about a team losing home field advantage. How many times has a playoff spot been lost because of one game? And I have had season tickets, the NFL doesn't give a discount for that missed game which is bullcrap.

Is Goodell aware that there are more countries in the world besides England and the U.S.? "International Series" my butt...

Which in the NFL has the lowest effect in all of the worlds sports.

I'm not justifying the whole giving multiple games away to London, but it is quite obvious it's just a conversion rate based money cow they can milk off of until it runs dry. That's when the other countries as TJ mentioned will come into play...

I can't stand roger goodell he has made the nfl a pass happy league so Qb's like Rogers can rack up huge number without ever getting hit hen takes our teams to another freakin country why I must ask and the only answer to that is money. The teams play for their state not freakin England he needs freakin fired now

Cle24, Roger has a contract so his being fired is really out of the question. Of course it's about money, the NFL is all about "making" money if anyone thought otherwise they're just fooling themselves.

The owners are basically printing money right now, they love Goodell and he's not going anywhere

Sooner or later, London will get it's own team. Get used to it....

there will eventually be a team in London, scotland, maybe even Germany.
i'd like to see the league expand to a maximum of 40 teams, with a team in mexico and a team in Canada too. and you know the next city in the usa to get a team will be the los angeles area cause it is the largest tv area that does not have a team.

I Think it would be crappy too,but when bigger money comes available, the owners will jump on it and consume it like great white sharks! I would not be shocked if maybe in a year or two,the guy who owns the jags pushes for an exhibition game somewhere in the middle east like Saudi Arabia, dubai,or maybe even Pakistan? Those owners love money and they love flaunting their product worldwide, don't ya know!

Not a chance, that we will get a team here in Germany, and honestly, I don't even want it. Let the NFL in their homeland and bring back a improved NFLE, run by somebody who knows how things work here at Europe
