The New England Patriots' fascination with former Rutgers players has been well documented since the 2013 NFL Draft. Bill Belichick's son, Steve, now a coaching assistant with the Patriots, was on former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano's 2011 team.

Throw in Belichick's friendship with Schiano, and it's easier to understand the pipeline. Eight players currently on the roster played at Rutgers, which seems like an insanely high amount.

Only one other NFL roster has as many players from one college on their roster.

I know for a couple years the patriots were drafting a lot of Florida players. I didn't even realize we had that many guys from rutgers.

Green Bay and UW have a strong connection too. You typically see the UW band perform at Packer games and last year for the Hockey City Classic, the Packers lent some of their cold weather gear to the UW hockey team.
Granted, the Packers typically dont draft in-state as much as some other teams but thats because they are drafting the best players they can get and UW isnt exactly a top-recruiting school.
