Matt Flynn remains No. 1 on the Oakland Raiders' quarterback depth chart, despite the fact rookie Tyler Wilson has impressed in his short time with the team. "Matt's our starting quarterback we go forward right now, and until the competition dictates otherwise, that's where we're going," Raiders coach Dennis Allen told reporters after the team's Tuesday workouts. Allen's thinking is line with general manager Reggie McKenzie, who "presumed" Flynn would be the starter shortly after the Raiders traded a 2014 fifth-round pick (along with a '15 conditional pick) to acquire the former Seattle Seahawks backup. Flynn couldn't beat out third-round rookie Russell Wilson in Seattle last season, and still should get some push from the fourth-rounder Tyler Wilson in Oakland. Terrelle Pryor, the Raiders' only returning quarterback with Carson Palmer (traded to Arizona) and Matt Leinart (unsigned as a free agent) gone, is stuck at No. 3. Considering the Raiders gave up more to get Flynn than they got in return for Palmer, they are tied to sticking with Flynn as their starter until the point he's well outplayed by Wilson. Hopefully Flynn gets the chance to start. He's a good QB (almost beat the Patriots when Rodgers was out with a concussion) and its not like a Russell Wilson comes along every year.
I'm gonna laugh if Flynn goes here and gets hecked AGAIN. Not because I dislike him, just a "heck your life" kind of laugh at him.
I remember flenn from his days at lsu! he won a title so he a proven winer tho I cant see him as a proticacal qb dropping back 30 times a game
