After missing all last season because he tore his Achilles tendon working out on his own, Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters is … well, he’s not working out with the club. Peters has been absent for OTA’s to this point and first-year coach Chip Kelly did not shine a lot of light on the situation other than to acknowledge, yeah, Peters isn’t around. The good news? The coach expects to see him soon. “We know where he is,†Kelly said, according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News. “And we know what's going on. I expect him here shortly.†OTA’s, of course, are voluntary in nature so it is Peters right to be anywhere but at the club’s facility when they are going on. Source: National Football Post
Disappointing that he wasn't there, but at least it doesn't appear to be an injury matter. I'm curious as to the reason though. New coach, new schemes, I want my veterans being out there with leadership.
