The Chicago Bears reached agreement on a one-year deal with former New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis on Tuesday, ESPN Chicago reports.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft by the Saints, Ellis played five years for New Orleans, recording 12.5 sacks. He had 36 tackles in 16 games for the Saints last season, but no sacks.

Ellis also met with the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots last week.

Not a bad signing. Somebody who can help clog the middle. I like it

I like this signing too. I think the Bears can use some depth at DT.
