Buccaneers May Use WR Kevin Ogletree As Primary Return Man

A surprising candidate has emerged to become the primary kickoff and punt returner for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, newly-acquired wide receiver Kevin Ogletree is projected to be the team's primary return specialist according to Stephen F. Holder of the Tampa Bay Times.

What makes this a head-scratcher is Ogletree's lack of experience at the position. He has returned just 20 kicks and 3 punts in his four-year career, in fact, the only really stellar thing Ogletree has done in his career is the multi-touchdown receiving game he had for the Dallas Cowboys on national television in 2012 for that team's season opener. Tampa Bay does not have a lot of other candidates for the return game unfortunately. Last season's primary return man was Roscoe Parrish but he wasn't re-signed, Tampa Bay did acquire return man Jeff Demps from the Patriots at the draft, but his status is up in the air, barring a dark horse candidate emerging, Ogletree appears to be the choice.

if the bucs are depending on ogletree for anything at all, they're gonna have a bad time.

I was really hoping Demps would step up as the return guy, but its whatevs. Ogletree ought to be a nice slot option

Ogletree looked a lot better last year than austin did, especially in the nfc east games.
miles austin just can't stay healthy, can he?

Demps could still win it easily.

Im sure they are going to want ogletree to take the next step as a WR, if demps can handle returns he probably will...i think hes more built for PR though
