Longtime Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday.

But Cooley won't be unemployed. He's accepted a job assisting the Redskins radio broadcasts with ESPN 980 in Washington, D.C. His responsibilities, the radio station announced, will be to offer his thoughts and analysis once a quarter.

In his nine-year career, all with Washington, Cooley caught 429 passes for 4,711 yards and 33 touchdowns.
