The Cleveland Browns used the No.3 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft on Alabama superstar running back Trent Richardson but never quite got the player they believed they were drafting last season. Richardson could never shake nagging knee and rib injuries throughout his rookie season. He managed to grind his way through 15 games but much more was expected of him. Richardson has vowed that the same fate would not befall him this year and he made good on the first part of that promise by reporting to training camp early with the team's rookies last week according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Things don’t officially get going in Berea, Ohio for the full squad for a couple of days but Cabot reports that Richardson has been a full-go at practice since last week.

He played through some nagging injuries but i dont get why everyone is so hard on him. The oline was a work in progress last year, he clearly has a nose for the endzone, and hes one hell of a receiver out of the backfield. Obviously they would like to see his YPC go up, but i thought he had a great rookie year and was the best thing about their entire team

People being hard on him simply didnt watch the Browns enough last season. We're all fine with him, excited and expecting big things
