Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin said he’s had preliminary talks with the Eagles about a contract extension, Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times reports. For now the plan is to play out the final year of his rookie contract. “It’s the typical thing that you do, but nothing in depth,†Maclin said before the LeSean McCoy celebrity softball game Saturday night. “Nothing in depth … that I know of.†“I’m going to go out there and play ball. Obviously this is the organization that drafted me. I don’t want to leave. At the end of the day that’s going to get brought up when it’s time for it. So that’s all I can do is play ball and play it to the best of my ability.†Source: The Redzone
They never got a deal done, and he got injured today at practice. People say that it looked serious. I hope it's not. I feel really bad for him.
That'll put a damper on negotiations. I love Mac and I want him back at 100% but I hope he doesn't go dumb and try to get paid before he proves he's healthy.
