The New York Jets have invested heavily in their defensive line in recent years, using the NFL draft as a means to get younger and more dynamic on the line. Muhammad Wilkerson, Quinton Coples and Sheldon Richardson have all been first-round picks since 2011. Wilkerson is emerging as a star, while Coples led the team in sacks as a rookie. Richardson -- the 13th overall pick in April's draft -- has the potential to be a disruptive force in the middle. Coples spoke confidently about the group on Monday at training camp, saying that "the sky's the limit" for the line. Source: NFL.com
Wilkerson is one of the most underrated dlinemen in the league. Wilkerson, Coples, Richardson, and Ellis is a sick 4 man front but they are really lacking the guy to consistently get after the QB. They have brute force, size, and length to push the pocket and completely gobble up blockers but have little speed. Richardson was definitely an odd pick considering their needs but they are pretty beastly up front rigth now
