Four wins. Twelve losses. Those numbers added up to a horrible record for the Detroit Lions in 2012 and feelings of disgust for linebacker Stephen Tulloch. “I was sick all off-season about it,†Tulloch said today. “I used to go to the weight room and think about it. Training, think about it. Just last season really left a bad taste in my mouth.†Tulloch thinks the bad taste is gone now — along with a couple of bad apples — rinsed away by the addition of a new crop of proven veterans who’ve tasted success with other teams. “This team is a playoff team,†Tulloch said. “There’s no question about it. You guys come here every day, you see what’s going on. We’ve just got to put it together. We put the distractions behind us from last year. We got rid of some players that were kind of dragging us down. “We’ve got players here that want to win, understand what it takes to win. Bringing a guy like Glover Quin — been to playoff games — bringing a guy like Reggie Bush — been to playoff games — guys with experience and veteran leadership who can help us grow as a team will definitely pay dividends in the long run.†Source: Detroit Free Press
