Despite Eagles quarterback Michael Vick seeming to show the first traces of forgiveness for the recent racial slur used by Eagles receiver Riley Cooper at a recent Kenny Chesney concert, this isn't something the team likely will get over quickly. That, anway, is how one could read this reaction from running back LeSean McCoy. After telling reporters that he had lost a friend in Cooper, McCoy further explained, saying, “I can't respect a guy like that.†Said McCoy: “It's new and hopefully it wears off, but at this point, I speak for myself and other teammates, it's definitely different. Coop was one of my good friends on this team, and I just feel like it was a matter of thinking that nobody was watching, and that's when a person shows who they really are. That's exactly what took place." McCoy, though, said he forgave Cooper. As far as the Eagles first regular-season opponent, the Redskins say they won't be thinking about the controversy when they face Philadelphia on Sept. 9. “That's not going to be what's on our mind,†Redskins cornerback Deangelo Hall said, via the Washington Post. “It's not like we're going to go out there and try to do something about that. We're going to be excited about playing a Monday night game, playing a prime-time game. That's what we'll be focused on.†Source: CBS Sports
A guy like LeSean, who encourages an assault and stranding a woman, should have a well respected opinion.
F*ck you LeSean McCoy you f*cking pathetic piece of sh!t. A word is so f*cking brutal! You forget he's your f*cking teammate? I hope he "misses" a block and let's your butt get f*cked up.
oh, i'm sure mccoy is not the only african-american on the eagles roster that is butthurt. they'll probably demand the team cut him. cooper will be on the unemployment line pretty soon.
If they cut every player on the team that used the "N-Word," the roster would be too thin to field a team...lol.
