We learned Wednesday night that All-Pro linebacker Patrick Willis will undergo X-rays on Thursday to examine an injury to his right hand, according to Matt Maiocco of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, citing a source. If X-rays are involved, there's obvious concern Willis might have suffered some sort of a fracture. Willis spent the final two hours of Wednesday's practice watching from afar with his hand wrapped in ice. The 28-year-old defender has suffered a pair of breaks to his right hand during his six-year NFL career, both in 2007 and 2010. Willis played through each setback, but the injury is reason for concern for the 49ers. UPDATE: X-rays revealed that Willis suffered a slight right hand fracture, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who added that Willis should be ready for the regular season. Source: NFL.com
