After reaching agreement Tuesday night with the Dallas Cowboys, guard Brandon Moore has decided to retire, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. This according to a league source. Moore could not bring himself to get on a plane and leave his family and informed the Cowboys of his decision Wednesday morning. Moore, 33, played for offensive coordinator Bill Callahan for four years with the New York Jets. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Jets, starting 142 of 144 games in his career and every game since 2005. The Cowboys were interested in Moore because Nate Livings is expected to miss two to four weeks because of knee surgery last week, and Mackenzy Bernadeau returned to practice late last week after missing the first two-plus weeks with a hamstring injury. If this means anything to anyone, Pro Football Focus thought quite highly of him. He's certainly better than what the Cowboys have now. However, there were rumors going around as to how much he had left in his tank. That's why he was available. Now, the only other option on the Cowboys radar seems to be Brian Waters.
No, Fez. If he was that good, why was he sitting home on his ass? He would have been playing for a team and not been available. IMO, the Cowboys are better off without him. Your Cowboys hatred is showing, pal.
The only player in NFL history to sign a one day contract to retire with a team he never played for.....
In 2 posts he went from "regarded highly by PFF" and "better than anyone on the Cowboys current roster" to "we're better off without him" "and "obviously not very good since he's sitting at home". I think thats a record even for Ragman. Your butt is showing, pal.
Did you say something, Walnuts? All I hear is this sound, like someone put a gag over your mouth? MMMMMPHMMPHHH. Like that. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
IMO if Leary and Arkin play as well tomorow as they did Sunday, competion over. There are you starters at both guard positions Sent from my HTC Vivid
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH................you really have any faith in Arkin at all?? I'm rooting for Leary but Arkin? I think I'd rather see a healthy Bernadeau than Arkin
Arkin looked great against Miami. Hes still young and was a project when we drafted him. So now could be the time he is ready Sent from my HTC Vivid
