Rex Grossman completed 10 of 16 passes for 133 yards with a touchdown and an interception Monday night in the Washington Redskins' 24-13 preseason win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robert Griffin III isn't playing in the preseason as he works his way back from major knee surgery, and backup Kirk Cousins left in the second quarter with a sprained right foot. Grossman's TD pass was 10 yards to Leonard Hankerson in the second quarter. Ben Roethlisberger was 5 for 6 for 66 yards for the Steelers. He had a screen pass intercepted and returned for a touchdown by linebacker Ryan Kerrigan. May have been the ugliest preseason (exhibition) game so far in 2013. Except for the brain cramp pass by Ben resulting in a pick-6, I thought he looked pretty sharp.
major work in progress....last night might have been dwyers best showing ever, bell was supposed to run away with the starting slot but he hasnt dont himself any favors while dywer and LSH look good. I dont care whos running, they just need to be more effective than they were last year by about 600 yards
He wasn't very good last year but honestly I think Dwyer is their best option at the moment. I know it's just preseason and he's had tons of injury problems already, but Bell hasn't impressed me much at all.
How has bell not impressed you at all? Outside of the 4 carries last night no one knows what he looks like live besides the steelers. Dont get me wrong, he is a less than thrilling player to me, but we have seen nothing yet to be impressed or unimpressed
Pretty sloppy game last night but...pre-season. Saw a few glimpses of some good but too many mistakes both mental and physical.
