QB Geno Smith To Start For Jets Sunday If Healthy

Geno Smith will start for the Jets against the Giants Sunday, barring a setback with his ankle, Manish Mehta and Seth Walder of the New York Daily News report.

The Jets have extended its quarterback competition through the third preseason game, and Smith only has to be healthy to start his first NFL game, a proposition that looks increasingly likely after he moved well in practice on Monday.
