Quarterback Thaddeus Lewis will be heading to Buffalo a few days before the rest of Detroit Lions. According to a Pro Football Talk report, Lewis has been traded to the Bills.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport tweets that the Lions have received linebacker Chris White in return.

White, a 2010 sixth-round pick, has appeared in 22 games for Buffalo the past two seasons, registering 19 tackles.

Buffalo was in desperate need of quarterbacks after the two players competing for their starting job, E.J. Manuel and Kevin Kolb, suffered preseason injuries.

There went that idea... the Niners restructured McCoy's contract last night, so he might just get released if they don't find a trade partner

Manuel has looked good. They are just thin as Kolb has no buisness in the NFL
