The Farmers' Almanac is using words like "piercing cold," ''bitterly cold" and "biting cold" to describe the upcoming winter. And if its predictions are right, the first outdoor Super Bowl in years will be a messy "Storm Bowl." The 197-year-old publication that hits newsstands Monday predicts a winter storm will hit the Northeast around the time the Super Bowl is played at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands in New Jersey. It also predicts a colder-than-normal winter for two-thirds of the country and heavy snowfall in the Midwest, Great Lakes and New England. "We're using a very strong four-letter word to describe this winter, which is C-O-L-D. It's going to be very cold," said Sandi Duncan, managing editor. Based on planetary positions, sunspots and lunar cycles, the almanac's secret formula is largely unchanged since founder David Young published the first almanac in 1818. Source: Newark Star Ledger
I can't even trust tomorrow's weather report. I think I'll pass on one for 6 months from now. Also, I heard around here that 2 years ago was supposed to be the worst winter in years, and it didn't snow until January. So yea, grain of salt.
hope it snows butthole deep to a ten foot chinaman all week during the superbowl. that is what the league deserves for kissing the giants pompous fat asses and giving them a super bowl.like to see gametime blizzard conditions similar to the ones in philly way back in the norm van brocklin years.
they should just have the super bowl every year in green bay cause football is the only sport worth playing in bad weather!
Played like God meant it to be. Can't wait... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykcgFRrn6cM]Top Ten Bad Weather Games #1: Ice Bowl - YouTube[/ame]
