Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams had a noticeable limp after taking an unexpected low block, that was away from the play, in the third quarter of a preseason loss at the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Coach Leslie Frazier said this week he didn't want to overwork Williams, but still rode him with the first-team defense through the start of the second half.

"From what I understand, it was a dirty play," defensive end Jared Allen told NBC's Michele Tafoya during the game. "It sucks."

Williams did not return, but watched most of the second half from the sidelines before going into the locker room to ice his injured leg.

Cornerback Chris Cook left in the first quarter with an injured groin.

In his fourth season, Cook is looked upon to be the leader of the cornerback unit despite not starting more than 10 games in any of his three seasons.

Don't know if he did something to Looney prior to the low block or not, but Looney should get fined or suspended for that bullcrap

The Vikings look like they have some work to do if they are going to contend in the NFC. Kaepernick made them look silly in that TD drive in the 1st quarter and all he did was stand in the pocket and pick their defense apart.
