Two weeks ago, executive vice president/COO Stephen Jones said the Dallas Cowboys had "moved on" from free-agent guard Brian Waters. Now the six-time Pro Bowl selection is headed to Valley Ranch. The Cowboys have agreed to terms with Waters on an undisclosed contract, a source tells NFL.com's Albert Breer. The two sides had been dancing around a deal since late July, but it soon became evident that the 36-year-old wanted no part of training camp. Now that the games count, Waters has regained the itch to play. Source: NFL.com
an overweight old heck who clearly specifically tried to avoid training camp on a team he has no previous experience with. seems legit.
Stupid move even with the team in need of O-line help. Not convinced he can help at 36 and out of shape. Cut or hurt by mid season.
Typical Jeery move...signing an all-pro 5 years after their prime ended Sent from my Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini using Tapatalk 4
This tells me that the team is afraid that Leary's degenerative knee condition will cause him to miss some of this season.
Ive heard Leary is supposed to start against NY. He is back at practice. It actually wasnt his degenerative knee, it was the other one. This tells me they dont like what they have at RG Sent from my HTC Vivid
I believe this is more because of their concerns with Bernadeau's health than it is Leary's health. But that doesn't change my reservations about his condition. That being said, I've seen various places that he didn't seem to be all that out of shape, so hopefully he isn't.
