On Saturday the Dallas Cowboys placed guard Nate Livings on injured reserve. On Thursday the Cowboys reached an injury settlement with the veteran guard and released him, but it doesn’t mean he will never be in a Cowboys uniform again. Livings’ $1.7 million base salary was guaranteed as part of the five-year, $19 million deal he signed as a free agent in 2012. The Cowboys reached a three-week injury settlement with Livings, but he will be allowed to return to the team after the Nov. 3 game against Minnesota should they need offensive line help. If he joins another team, then the Cowboys would only be on the hook for the difference between the $1.7 million and his new base salary. Source: ESPN
i've seen talk of us bringing him back in week 9 when we're allowed to but i severely doubt that takes place unless there are injury concerns or waters and/or leary reaaaaaaaaaalllyy is are bust for us.
Im concerned with Leary and his knee and will it hold up for the whole season. And Im also worried about Waters conditioning and his age. Hopefully they both can stay healthy the whole season.
Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan said this morning that Leary has been working with former Cowboys OL Larry Allen and Allen has been raving about him. Allen says that all Leary has to do is work a little bit at cleaning up his footwork.
I know what you are saying. The Cowboys have bad luck when it comes to injury's. I can't remember a time (maybe 07) that we didn't get killed by injuries.
