The New York Jets won't start the season with four quarterbacks on the active roster after releasing Brady Quinn on Saturday. Quinn was signed on Monday when Graham Harrell was released, adding to the club's stable of quarterbacks that includes rookie Geno Smith, Matt Simms and deposed injured starter Mark Sanchez. Smith will get the start for Sunday's opener against Tampa Bay, while Sanchez is sidelined with a shoulder injury. Speculation is that Sanchez may be out for awhile and could even be placed on injured reserve, which might allow Quinn to return with New York. Linebacker Danny Lansanah was promoted from the Jets' practice squad to fill the active roster spot. Source: Sports Network
