Packers rookie running back Eddie Lacy scored a touchdown in his first regular-season game Sunday against the 49ers, but he also lost a fumble and averaged just 2.9 yards per carry. On Monday, coach Mike McCarthy said Lacy needs to improve in some areas. McCarthy added Lacy "needs to clean some things up," whether it is running the football or pass protection. "He’s young, it’s his first time really playing in the no-huddle type situation, going that fast, we have a lot on his plate, being a three-down player. I answered the question continuous through training camp -- my goal for him is to be a three-down player and keep him in there and keep him playing," McCarthy said. "Because when he’s in there, I mean, he’s a fine young football player. But the details -- that’s the difference between winning and losing in this league." Source: CBS Sports
He had some good runs yesterday. Once he gets used to the speed of the NFL, he will be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
