Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola won't be playing in Thursday night's matchup with the New York Jets, and may not see action for quite some time. The Patriots' medical staff has had trouble diagnosing the severity of Amendola's groin issue, and NFL.com is reporting that the wideout could miss anywhere from two to six weeks. Team quarterback Tom Brady is already short on offensive weapons, with running back Shane Vereen out until at least Week 11 and tight end Rob Gronkowski still recovering from offseason back surgery. Amendola was brought in after New England let wideout Wes Welker walk in free agency. That could leave a mark. Schedule isn't that terrible though through the next 6 weeks... Bucs, Falcons, Bengals, Saints, Jets, Dolphins.
Shoulda just paid Wes whatever Wes wanted. Brady redoes his deal to get receivers and he's got nothing to work with.
Basically amendola has already summed up his career this season. Great when he's on the field, but he's never on the field.
Remember when parcells left the pats cause they would not let him,"shop for some of the groceries"? It is very clear that brady is thinking that now.the only wr they have on the field that is dependable is Edelman,who is mr everything.if he gets hurt,they will be sol cause they can't depend on amendola or the other wrs,can they?
They need Parcells now for this Amendola situation. He would get her to play... They'll over pay for Sanders next season too...
