On Wednesday, Giants coach Tom Coughlin snapped at what he deemed over-the-top questioning about the fumbling woes of running back David Wilson and what the team was doing to address the issue.

This afternoon, Coughlin opened his media session with a light-hearted update on Wilson’s progress.

"David Wilson did okay with his technique today," Coughlin said with a smile. "He had multiple carries and he also carried the ball and put it in the proper position, so I would say today he made good progress. I’m sure that’s the end of (the news conference). I’ll see you guys later."

Coughlin has refused to say if Wilson will start on Sunday against Denver. But even if he doesn’t, he’s expected to enter the game early.

"We’re going to play everybody," offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said. "I know you guys (the media) like to know who’s starting and not, but I haven’t put together the openers (the first 10 to 15 plays) yet, so I don’t know who’s going to be in there.

"Once we decide what plays we’re going to run, then whoever we think is best capable of running that play is the guy that’ll be in there."

In other words: "We would love to bench him to teach him a lesson but all of our other running backs suck ballz"

It's one thing to do this in practice, but let's see how he does in real game conditions.
