Adrian Peterson's first breakout performance in the NFL came at Soldier Field, notching his first-ever 200-yard game and multi-touchdown performance during the last Minnesota Vikings victory over the Chicago Bears on the road.

    That was in 2007.

On Sunday, Peterson will look to rebound from an uneven game in the loss to the Detroit Lions and give the Vikings their first win at Chicago in seven years.

"We kind of got beat up a little bit up front [by Detroit]. Not really executing. When I was able to look at the tape, that was the biggest thing," Peterson said.

Since 2000, the Vikings are an astounding 2-12 in the Windy City.

But that hasn't stopped Peterson, who averages 106 yards and 1.3 touchdowns on the ground in six games at Soldier Field. He's faltered in recent years, with his stats buoyed by the remarkable 224-yard, three-touchdown performance in 2007.

"Everytime I don't get 100 [yards], I think 'wow,'" Peterson said. "Because it's so easy to get 100."

AD makes them look easy but this better light a fire under the butt of the Bears D.

after all he did get his hundred last week right? No wait. He didn't. Guess it wasn't that easy. He is getting too damn cocky now.

    I still don't think he'll break Emmitt's all-time rushing record.

I laugh everytime I hear his goal is to get 2500 rushing yards this season.

If there is a RB that can get 2500 yards it's AP and I don't fault the guy for having that kind of confidence. But saying a 100 yard game is easy is bordering the douchbagery line.

Maybe for him it does "feel" easy. Deion used to bait quarterbacks into throwing to WRs by letting them appear to be open, so he could get interceptions. Most CBs don't have that ability, but he did.

He seems to be to into himself and just ignoring the fact that the Vikings still suck with him doing all that work.

I don't think he meant it in a douche bag way. He knows with his ability that he can get way over 100 yards, and if he doesn't, he looks at it as if he didn't do his job well.

It is pretty easy for him. He does it more times than not. I agree with what Dawk said...
