Lions safety Louis Delmas said Friday the league fined him $5,000 for wearing the wrong color socks in last week's loss to the Cardinals, Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News reports. "It is what it is," he said. Delmas wore blue and black socks with the black covering his shin down to his shoes. He said the NFL requires the Lions to either wear white and blue socks or solid blue. Breaking the uniform code led the NFL to take the $5,000 directly out of Delmas' check. For game-related fines, players receive a FedEx letter requesting a specified amount. Source:The Redzone
