Most of the pre-season predictions I have read, have the Steel Curtain, The Ravens and the Bengals in a 3 way tie with 10-6 records and depending on who you're reading the Browns at 5-11 or 6-10. When I added up the cumulative W-L of these predictions and compared it to the other divisions, they are basically saying this is the toughest division in the AFC. What do you guys think?
Definitely the toughest in the AFC. Could possibly make. Run at toughest in NFL. I have all three teams making the playoffs with the Bengals winning the division. Bengals 12-4 Ravens 11-5 Steelers 10-6 After last nights showing, the Ravens have some work to do... Would be nice to get a jump on them by beating the Titans on Sunday!
Actually ... They may be lucky to win 6 this season after today. Pouncey out for the year with MCL, ACL Stephens-Howling out for year with torn ACL Foote-Ruptured bicep (probably season ending) $uisham- also out a few weeks with a hammy Cortez Allen mat miss time with an Ankle Injury Not to mention Miller and Bell are still out...lol. Thoughts on who they may bring in? Two healthy RBs (with Redman being one - ugh.) Gotta imagine they'll either call Dwyer or bring Alexander back. Stephenson Sylvester?
We are due for a down year (8-8 doesn't count), and I'm fine with a down year if it means getting younger and making some changes (Lebeau retiring, etc.) I really hope Vince Williams gets a chance at the ILB position even though he was inactive Sunday.
The way the Steelers have opened the first quarter of the season will surely bring changes sooner or later. Any changes you guys are looking for?
If they go 0-16 and in the process cut Isaac Redman and Mike Adams, the season will be a success. Mike Adams has no business playing LT at this level. Wasn't he the one that drove to Pittsburgh to ask them to draft him? Maybe I should drive to Pittsburgh and ask them to draft a real LT. He was beyond brutal and I put part of the blame on the coaching staff for watching him struggle and not scheming to provide help...maybe that's what they did that last play if the game when the Vikings confused the crap out if him and Beachum...lol.
Word is Beachum replaced Mike Adams as starting LT at practice today. Expected to start against Jets.
I still think Adams has a future, it just has to be at RT. Steelers traded for Levi brown today...meh
