Before I get to my Week 6 picks, I need to talk about what I learned in Week 5 and here's what I learned in Week 5: It's not safe on the Falcons bandwagon. If you're on it, get off now. The bandwagon is on fire, running out of gas and will probably crash into a wall soon. Source: CBSSports.com markaz's Take: The Raiders/Chiefs is one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL. Anything can happen in what will be an emotionally charged game, but I just can't see Pryor & Co shoving the Chiefs' defense around enough to win it.
Eh, the way the chiefs play, they can be beaten by almost any team on a given Sunday. Their offensive line and offense in general is somewhat putrid. All a team has to do is avoid turnovers and mistakes on special teams and they will be in position to win it. If the raiders play again like they did on Sunday night, this will be a toss up. However, playing against that chiefs defense in arrowhead is much different than playing at home against the chargers defense so I'm not expecting it to happen
Meh...you can pretty much say that about any match up nowadays in the NFL. Especially division match ups.
I picked the Ravens this week over Packers. The Packers offensive line isn't getting any better this year at any time
Chiefs are benefitting from one of the most cupcake schedules I've ever seen. Aside from the two Broncos games, they've only got one game against anyone that's worth half a crap, and they barely squeaked out a win against them...In Arrowhead. They'll finish with a winning record and make the playoffs more than likely, but they aren't nearly as good as their record indicates now, nor as it will indicate at the end of the season.
Before the season started the Chiefs were coming off of a 2-14 season and with Dallas, Philly and NYG on their schedule in the first 5 weeks, everybody was saying they'll be lucky to be a .500 team this year. So now in hindsight their schedule is cupcake? They may have had something to do with that. Can the Chiefs compete in a game where they need a big offensive performance? We shall see. But the way they control and protect the ball and play defense, who knows. Now if the Raiders go into Arrowhead this weekend and snitch-slap the Chiefs, only then will I really question whether the Chiefs are as good as their record indicates. I certainly can't bang on them right now because they're 5-0 and wish my 3-2 team had the same record.:icon_redface:
Lol. It's funny that the Chiefs schedule is very close to what the Niners schedule looks like...quite a few "common opponents" there.
