A judge has found Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones not guilty of an assault charge accusing him of punching a woman in the head. Imo his reaction was unwarranted and he should have been found guilty.
This is stemming from the June incident where he punched a woman after she spilled beer on him after he said some things. After seeing the video back then, I don't know how he wasn't found guilty of assault when his reaction was clearly ( to me ) an over-reaction.
You're right. No one has a right to defend themselves and we should all cower in fear of anybody that's harassing us.
Expected Pacman to be more understanding since all she did was make it rain. I guess at least he didn't cower...
He's a fairly little dude, a big fat chick would be a fair fight, I'd say. I'd assume that had to have been taken into serious consideration by the judge/jury.
First of all hes a public figure. You act like a rod and everyone knows. And with his past he should have chosen a different way to handle that. He is an adult act like one. Just because someone else chooses not to doesn't make it right for him to do what he did. He should have just had her drunk butt arrested and let it be done with. Sorry no idiot is going to make me put myself in jail. If I do then I'm the idiot. And besides it was a beer.
1) He isn't in jail. Because he didn't do anything wrong. 2) I don't care if you're the freaking Pope, you have a right to defend yourself. People don't have the right to disrespect you and verbally or otherwise.
The only reason he's not in jail is because the girl was the "initial aggressor" by pouring a beer on him. But the judge also "noted a lack of civility from those involved, including Jones." If that's defending himself I hate to see when his life is in jeopardy. "Jones has had at least four separate run-ins with Cincinnati authorities since October 2010, and at least seven other arrests since entering the NFL". This guy just cant avoid the law. This tells me he either has very bad luck or is just a douche bag. And if he cant handle being disrespected, keep his butt out of those situations by avoiding them. You would figure after having to shell out 11 mil he would learn. But don't get me wrong the girl shouldn't have poured a beer on him but he shouldn't have punched her either.
