Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak indicated after Sunday's 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers that Matt Schaub would remain the team's starting quarterback. Given a night to think about it and watch the film, Kubiak was less definitive. Source: NFL.com DaBears22's Take: Schaub supposedly is starting vs the Rams next week. Is this his last chance to right the ship and claim ownership of the team? Sounds like it.
Who are they going to get that is better than Schaub at this point? It is hard to argue against the 4 straight weeks with a Pick-6 though...
Agree that Schaub is ultimately culpable, but Schaub also follows inflexible marching orders from Kubiak. The notion that in today's NFL that an experienced QB cannot audible is more than curious.
If you remember though, Yates was horrid. The guy may have the weakest arm in the nfl. I'm surprised he's still their #2 qb.
