Andre Johnson ripped Houston Texans fans for cheering when quarterback Matt Schaub went down with a lower leg injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s 38-13 blowout loss to the St. Louis Rams.

“No clbutt. It’s bad when members of the other team are saying that’s messed up that they would do something like that,†Johnson said. “It just shows no clbutt. It wasn’t all the fans. But those are the same people that you’re out somewhere with your family and you tell them they can’t have an autograph right now, those are the same people that tell you you’re rude.

“It’s just no clbutt. It shows what they’re all about. You don’t cheer about nobody being injured — I don’t care who it is. Guys lay their bodies on the line out there on that field. Some guys get injuries and it affects them their whole lives. To cheer about something like that, it just shows they have no clbutt.â€

Arian Foster was even more direct.

“That is just tasteless and tactless. I was extremely heated at that,†Foster said. “They have to go home and look at themselves in the mirror and if they were born to hurt a man, that’s fine. … That is just not how I was brought up. That is not the kind of man I am. … I don’t care how you feel about a man. You don’t kick him when he is down.â€

SteveRobWhatever's Take: So it's not been a fun year if you are Matt Schaub. He's been on a bad streak that has reached epic levels. I don't know how players didn't expect this reaction at this point. Drop the decency BS, that's thrown out the window by uncaring fans.

Good for Johnson and Foster. But the fans got what they asked for...and that worked out well.

more and more of the texans players are coming out to rip the booing fans. there are several of them now that have gone on the record to rip the fans and the texans organization are publicizing their comments readily to the media. interesting tactic.

With the prices that fans are paying for NFL tickets these days, fans are entitled to boo the home team. But when fans cheer when their own QB gets hurt, that's classless, IMO.

yep, i think most people typically don't boo injuries because they feel it's classless but i guess those that do are entitled to do it when they buy a ticket.

I think you mean "cheer injuries"...booing injuries would be, well, perfectly appropriate.
