Matt Schaub didn't hear the Houston Texans fans who cheered his injury Sunday; he was deafened by the sound his ankle made. "It popped and must've come out and come back in place," Schaub said Monday on KILT-AM, per the Houston Chronicle. " ... It could have been drastically worse." The beleaguered quarterback received injections and treatment Monday for his injury and hasn't given up on playing in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. "I'm going to do everything I can to be ready to go," Schaub said. "I hate to think that anyone out there ... whatever the situation is, that people would be that way and act that way," Schaub said. "There's no place for that in this game. There just really isn't." Source: NFL.com DaBears22's Take: They don't like you right now Schaub but if you get healthy and avoid turnovers and start winning again, the boos will turn to cheers.
It'd have to be a drastic change for him to turn this ship around at this point. As someone pointed out to me before SF played HOU.. he's not the type of guy to have the fire within to play at a top tier level
Not just the Texans fans, you could include fans from all the major sports. I still remember going to a Lions/Dolphins game in the '99 or '00 when Charlie Batch got hurt and the fans cheered that he did.
