If you thought Peyton Manning would ramp up the drama in the firestorm involving his current coach and former owner, think again. During a conference call with Indianapolis reporters and again during a media gathering at the Denver Broncos' facility, Manning made it clear he wouldn't weigh in on recent comments by John Fox or Jim Irsay. Source: NFL.com Sportsguy's Take: Good move by Manning in my opinion to stay out of it and not say anything
Irsay just makes himself look like a burned out hippie every time he says something. all that acid he dropped ate up his pea sized brain. manning is a perfect gentleman so he will not say anything about it he will just let his playing talk for him.
Manning isn't an idiot. He knows he has millions of dollars of endorsements on the line based on his image. It's exactly like Jordan. Keep your mouth shut, roll with the punches, and keep cashing the paychecks. It may also be that he is a bigger man than Irsay is. Or maybe a combination.
While Irsay threw in a shot about wanting more SB titles, Fox didn't have to say anything at all but chose to open his mouth and turn a benign story into a headliner going into this weekend. Manning doesn't have to say anything, he's too focused on beating the Colts. I'd love it though if say the Broncos beat the crap out of Indy and Manning points his finger at Irsay in his owners box with a smirk on his face. That'd be classic.
But does John Fox say that with approval of Peyton Manning? Fox doesn't have a history of getting into verbal battles...
The way irsay has handled himself the last couple of years really makes him look like a major douche. I do not like the guy
Nothing Manning could say would take away from this gripping match between Irsay & Fox... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjHnzWE4E-E]two drunk old men fighting, funniest crap ever - YouTube[/ame]
