During a Friday radio appearance, the Cowboys owner was presented with a hypothetical: How would he feel if the Cowboys got the ball with two minutes remaining and trailing by four points Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.?

"I'm expecting to win it," Jones said on KRLD-FM. "I hadn't booked it, but we had 'em against Denver. And we've got a quarterback that's the best in the business in the fourth quarter. He's the best".

I'm one of the rare Eagles fans that respects Romo. However, him being 1-6 in games to get into the playoffs, or playoff games, is pretty damming.

Thing is they're qbs with worst records when the game is on the line with 2 min left and the team is trailing. Qbs that's have thrown more ints than romo since 2006. Yet the media concentrates on Tony.

NFLN did a whole thing on it last Saturday.

Oh well, life ain't fair, and wasting time by worrying about what clearly misinformed and/or stupid people think will just make you batcrap crazy. It is fun sometimes...but it doesnt do anyone any good.

If he wants people to change their perception of him, he needs to go play in a manner that gives them zero reason to have that perception. In his case it's probably going to take a Super Bowl at least. Fair? Probably not, but that's likely what it will take.

Maybe he could start by just making the playoffs. Then, try to actually win one of the playoff games. That would help.

Crazy as good old Jerry is, can understand his knee jerk defense of Romo who's taken waaaay too much criticism for poor decisions here & there.

The over-the-top critics went too far to the negative while JJ went too far to the positive.

Guess there's a certain balance once again in the Romo debate.

I fin fit funny how many people go out of way to criticize romo, for his faults and lack of wins, his ints. Etc etc. yet their are other QBs with worst or the same record who make same $$ and yet no critiques. And most of these other QBs were former first round draft pics.

It doesn't bother me I just them amusing

Eli has 2 super bowls and probably gets as much as Romo. But you have a guy like Flacco who's a polar opposite to Romo, uninspiring in the regular season, and turns it up in the postseason. There's only a few QBs who don't get much grief in the league

    Uh ho...

After some recent surprisingly eloquent posts, looks like Omen has had a relapse....

or Mrs. Omen no longer proof reads.

I'll never single handedly blame romo. Just because all of the analysts and haters say we don't win because of tony, is just dumb. Sure, he's lost us some games. But he's won us a lot more. On crucial drives, or for the most part.. The entire game, I blame our use of personnel. Our play calling. And the lack of mixing in the running game throughout a game. If not all of that, is anyone aware of how many false start or holding penalties that are called on us to kill drives? I know all other teams have the same problems, but I promise they're not as bad as what Tony has to over come unless they're just a really bad team, which I don't feel we've had in along time. Tony romo isn't clutch. And he only has one playoff win. But so do the Dallas cowboys in eighteen years. I'm pretty sure tony hasn't been our quarterback that long. He's just the only one who's found a way to always keep us in competition for a division title. Our problem is not tony romo.
