Aaron Rodgers refused to let a diminished receiving corps hamper his performance, as the Green Bay quarterback threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Packers to a 31-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Lambeau Field. After losing star receivers Randall Cobb and James Jones to injuries in last week's win, Rodgers was forced to rely heavily on second-year wideout Jarrett Boykin, who entered the tilt with just six career catches for 70 yards. Source: The Sports Network DaBears22's Take: While it's always good to have a win, the Packers have to be worried about Jermichael Finley. He took a hard hit to the head and was carried off the field on a stretcher.
I didn't know Finley got hurt. He's already had a concussion this year so that is actually extremely concerning. The real crapty thing is (the concussion from earlier in the year) Rodgers actually threw the ball in a way that set Finley up to get slaughtered, which he should know better than to do. I didn't see the play today but I have to wonder if it was a similar situation.
Not sure about the situation this time but first reports on his injury today were that he did not have feeling and movement in all extremities but now he does. I'm trying to find an update somewhere but no luck. I'm sure tomorrow there will be.
Just went and sought out the footage. This time it at least wasn't Rodgers' fault. Just one of those freak things that happen.
