The St. Louis Rams' season is about to look a whole lot different. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that an MRI confirms Sam Bradford has a torn ACL, according to two sources informed of the situation. Source: NFL.com ICECOLD's Take: Really tough loss for the Rams and do they still resign Bradford after the season or go after a new QB in the draft next year?
I don't see how they bring him back. He got PAID and didn't deliver enough wins ( not all on his shoulders though ) so don't re-sign him and draft a qb or trade for one. Their season isn't going anywhere know.
Or maybe now they can sign him cheaper for $5M a season and search for a starter. Bradford would be a nice back up.
He was on pace for 3,700 yards, 32 TDs, and 8 INTs. QB rating of 90.9. I think POSSIBLY the problem with the Rams is the fact that they are 29th in the league in rushing. Most QBs don't hit their stride till close to the end of their rookie deal. Tough call, but if I'm STL I resign him.
People that are calling for Bradford's head (Mostly non-Rams fans) have absolutely no idea what is going on with the team. Sam has primarily been a bright spot for the team since he's been there, where everyone else has come and gone. I'd struggle to name many QB's out there that could have done much more than Bradford considering the situation he's been in the past four years. I'm not suggesting he's a great and deserves to get a massive deal, but he's better than a lot out there, and pointing at him being the blame for the Rams being lackluster is a lazy excuse.
