Danny Amendola has missed 24 of 39 games over the past three seasons. But the New England Patriots receiver won't dare call himself injury-prone despite the track record or knocks from critics regarding his ability to stay healthy. "I don't really listen to it," Amendola told USA TODAY Sports on Friday. "I know how I play and what I can bring to the team. So I'm not really interested in hearing anything else." So, he thinks he's a great player that contributes to a team. That's great to have that confidence ...... While standing on the sideline. Hell, if that's all it takes to make $8 million a year, i will sign up for that.
I wonder if Robert Kraft is regretting not coughing up the cash to resign Wes Welker yet. Amendola is a good WR WHEN HEALTHY which is few and far between. 24 of 39 games missed over the last 3 seasons? OUCH! If that doesn't get the injury prone label, than I don't know what does.
Some of us knew this was going to happen in new England because he had a long track record already. It wasnt rocket surgery and hopefully the pats can get out of that contract fairly quickly or force him to take a pay cut. Paying amendola $8 mill a year or whatever ridiculous amount they are paying is like paying a regular receiver that's stays relatively healthy $15 mill a year because amendola only plays in half the games that most receivers do. As usual, it seems, another team should have consulted the people at gif before making a stupid move.
I'm not so sure that the people at GIF would even agree on a decision we were consulted on. There never seems to be anything that happens in the NFL that we we receive positively lol. Anyone else notice that while reading here?
