A trade for Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be in play this offseason, multiple league executive sources said, in the likely event a deal is not completed before Tuesday's trade deadline. Arizona and Fitzgerald will either have to agree to a restructured contract or a trade that would allow each side to go its own way, with the wide receiver finishing his career on a franchise that has won more consistently than Arizona. Source: ESPN DaBears22's Take: No fans of any NFL team want to see their best players gone unless they can get something in return for them. Fitzgerald is arguably a top 3 WR wasted on the Cardinals. Imagine him on Green Bay, the Niners, or the Bears. I know it sucks for Cardinals fans but looks like he won't be on the team next year.
I don't think they would ever consider trading him within the division, but the thought of it makes me...
I Wonder what the asking price will be? I Can't see anybody giving up high multiple picks for him,and that maybe what the cards want for him.
I can't see him on the bears. They already have Marshall and Jeffery. they need to go defense this offseason.
That's the only thing that would make sense for the Cards. Yes, a bunch of cap would come off the books, but picks are far more valuable. If this does happen I just hope that it is out of the division and whoever he's dealt to has picks that are decent numbers instead of a 30-32. The idea of him going elsewhere makes me ill, but with a crap QB starting and no-one worth a darn waiting in the wings, a "quality" QB makes more sense than a loaded WR Corps.
