Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Phil Loadholt has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Washington Redskins.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier announced the move on Tuesday, two days after Loadholt suffered a concussion and departed in the second quarter of a 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

"It's going to be difficult for him to pass the NFL protocol on a short week," Frazier said. "I don't know very many guys that do."

SteveRobWhatever's Take: J'Marcus Webb will more than likely get the start in his place. Yeah, that bum from Chicago found another home. I am sure Viking fans are thrilled to hear the human turnstile is getting some playing time. Let's hope for their QB's sake that the Viking coaches have taught him some new tricks because he needs them.

maybe that will help the skins non exsisting pass rush. losing the tight end is bigger than this in my view.
