Gary Kubiak is expected to be back with the Houston Texans next week after suffering a mini-stroke, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Morning."

The frustration stems from coaches having too much draft input and keeping stars on the field too long.

DaBears22's Take: Even if Kubiak did not have the heart issues, with the Texans at 2-6 so far would he have survived this season? The Colts are at the point of putting the division out of reach.

While I don't agree about the Colts putting the AFC South out of reach, it's more than likely out of reach for the Texans. Kubiak has been there for a long while now, might be time for a change.

Anyone think the Texans might be able to get Sumlin out of College Station?

If it happens it's overdue IMO.

That the rumor du jour, Steve. Either he's going to USC to be their new HC, or he's going to the Texans to be their new HC.
