The Indianapolis Colts rolled through the early portion of this season with an in-your-face offense that ground opponents down with a mix of the run and pbutt. "Time of possession, your three-and-out field position, the defense is having to play more, it affects so many different things. Our ability to run the football and stop the run is paramount and we got to get back to doing that. It makes it difficult because you become one-dimensional," Pagano said. um, who is pagano pissed off at? :scratch: the coaches have not been calling running plays over their last 4 or 5 games .......... they're literally calling 80% + passes. it's hard to rack up a lot of rushing yards when they're only calling 12 running plays a game while calling 50 dropbacks........... this is a real freaking head scratcher.
And with getting down so fast against STL meant having to throw it more to try to get back in the game
Well, that's true. Now that he has been around him for several weeks, it could be that pagano is realizing that t.r. Is not a hungry, competitive running back and he is trying to light a fire. I still say if pagano is wanting 100+ yards a game on the ground, he needs to call more than 10-15 running plays a game.
