NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported last Sunday that Ben Roethlisberger likely will ask to be traded this offseason after a decade of play with the Pittsburgh Steelers. So what's eating at Big Ben? Source: NFL.com ICECOLD's Take: Immediately after they won the 2 super bowls, if the market was there for it, he would've had a much better argument for that type of money. At this point with the way things have... ehhh not so much
He is one hell of a qb in the right system, but i just do not think that todd haley's system is the right one for big ben. and there are other reasons. the last few season's the steelers can't keep a rb healthy all season or the OL intact because of injury.surround big ben with healthy players and an offesive coordinator he actually likes and believes in,he will win again.
I would rate him just below the elite quarterbacks in the league. He needs to step up consistently to expect top money and I don't see him as having done that. He is Eli Manning in my book. Can be great, but is not great consistently.
He's a $100M QB... Easily. If the Steelers want any chance, they have to pay him top money. He deserves top money. If they didn't screw up so many other contracts, this wouldn't really be an issue IMO. See LaMarr Woodley contract.
