Marques Colston has become the New Orleans Saints career leader in yards receiving during Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The eighth-year pro, and former seventh-round draft choice out of Hofstra, entered the game needing 12 yards to break Eric Martin's two-decade-old record of 7,854 yards receiving, which was set over nine seasons (1985-93).

SteveRobWhatever's Take: Not bad for a 7th round pick out of Hofstra. He's been a star from the start from the Saints, and him and Brees have been a fun combination to watch over the years. He's an all-timer in the Black and Gold.

Eric Martin was badass, too bad he's not remembered much anymore.

I would've guessed Joe Horn passed him...

Eric Martin was a better blocker than a receiver. I am glad it was Quiet Storm that broke the record and not Horn. Our records are very low. 8 thousand yards for receiving and like 6 thousand for rushing.

That is because your team is consistently terrible and full of terrible players.
