I was unsure how to post this as it really isn't "news" so I through it in as a plain old new topic.

I was reading the referenced article which goes into detail about how an openly gay player was expected to come out this past pre-season. The article was interesting, but nothing fantastical until I got to one particular part that made me go "hmmmm." A "team official' had this to say:

"One team official gave an example of why there is such fear. He posed a question: What if a gay player came out in a place like the Dolphins locker room, where there was allegedly severe hazing?"

I am in no way saying that Jonathon Martin is gay, nor do I have any reason to believe that he is, but what if he is and what we are seeing happen in Miami is a result of this? What would be the repercussions for Miami, the league, and the players of the Dolphins?

It would probably be unique at the beginning, but if the guy showed he was a talent on the field and contributed to the team,i think it would eventually work out.I am quite certain that the coach would have to keep a closer watch on the lockroom for the first few weeks just to make sure things were working out.

As with anywhere, some guys would have a problem with it but most wouldn't care.

way i look at it in the real world is somebody being gay does not effect my relationship with them cause i am not gay,nor ever will i be. you treat all people no matter what color, race of sexual prefernce with respect, they will treat you that way.
i would hope everybody would act this way.
