Cornerback Walter Thurmond is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse (non-PED), NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Morning," according to multiple sources informed of the situation.

The loss of Thurmond is another blow to the Seahawks' "Legion of Boom" secondary, which already is without Brandon Browner (groin) for four to six weeks.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: This makes the 6th player since 2011 to be suspended by the NFL in Seattle. Big blow to the Seahawks who were already down Brandon Browner. Pete Carroll seems to still think it's USC where he can keep looking the other way and claiming ignorance. At some point I hope the NFL starts to hold him accountable for what is now an obvious pattern.

agreed SRW. they seem to have more suspensions for ped's than anyone else. why not really hit them where it hurts and suspend these guys in january during the playoff games ??

Okay, not PED-related, but still funny...

MJ, maybe? Or alcohol? Lynch would love a teammate that doubles as jailmate, that if he ever serves time for his own DUI.

Thank you for freaking up right now. Maybe the homefield advantage is ours now.
