It is being reported that the Colts are now benching Trent Richardson and the colossal failure of a trade has already been realized. Is he done in the league and is now nothing more than a rotational #2 or #3 guy?
I still think he can be a #1 in the right system. He is a solid straight ahead runner with good power and burst. Good hands out of the backfield too. He has no vision however, and any scheme where he is going to have read the OL and make cuts based on what he sees he is going to fail miserably
I really don't think those O-Lines in Cleveland and Indy have helped Richardson post numbers people expect from a No. 1. But because he can't create running lanes like your Petersons or Charles can, I think he's probably a marked man. Maybe a 3rd down back for the threat of a screen. But a bona fide No. 1? I doubt it.
