The Cards aren't really my team however I follow them as closely as I do the skins. I lived in Glendale for over 3 years during the wicked SB run.. I love what Bruce Arians has done this year, but let's face it he was waiting for this years draft to get his QB. Potential picks in round 1 to consider: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State (I doubt he will be on the board when the Cardinals pick but if he is, he is the perfect pocket passer that Arians is looking for) Zach Mettenberger, QB, LSU: Talk about Vertical offense! This is the ideal pick, I tend to shy away a bit because of some of the comparisons he has drawn to Weeden. But bottom line he isn't 30! Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M: Does anyone compare Manziel with Big Ben? I do, granted I have only watched him about a dozen times, I see a freelancer QB with strong arm strength. And if Palmer starts next season for 5-6 games he could slide right in and be a solid QB I will follow it up with round 2. but we start here for now. what do you guys think?
Ben Ben = huge man beast with zero wheels.. Manziel = medium size white boy with wheels.. what you talking about Willis?
No way in hell would arians grab manziel. 1 - manziel is going to get crushed plus his passes are going to get eaten up by defenses. 2- He hates the read option.
Ben's got Wheels. They're just not fancy...more like truck wheels...lol. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K8Ln5TQjwo[/ame]
I Should have elaborated a bit more. Freelancer i.e. does his own stuff off and on the field like Big B. If size is all that is used to compare people.. what up? Manziel is a circus show off the field as is Big B. Same on the field he can move around and get himself out of trouble to get time to throw. Like I said I watched about a dozen game of Manziel, that is what I saw :) Mock away Oh, and Bruce Arians was Big Ben's coach in Pit
Ben's price tag will be too high. With Fitz chewing up $18 million in cap space, the two can't be on the same payroll. I look for BA to draft a QB and making a wild guess it could be Zach Mettenberger out of LSU (if he's still around). He definitely has the Ben size at 6'5" and 235 lbs.
